Top Data Engineering Newsletters on Substack
Substack is elevating its Technology category.
Welcome back!
I’m hugely passionate about the space of data science and all things software engineering. Recently I’ve noticed a tangible shift to more data engineering type advice and Newsletters and I wanted you to be aware of what’s available here.
Data Engineering is one of the fastest growing topics on Substack’s Technology category now as of April, 2023.
To see the long list go here.
I did an initial survey of this and asked a number of people in the area for their lists of favorites. This is by no means a complete list, so take it with a grain of salt.
While the names and trends might change, the demand for educational info on these things does not. As a reader you need to subscribe to a combination of people and Newsletters to get good information in my humble opinion.
I believe in 2023 Substack is becoming a decent educational platform for these topics. This wasn’t always the case.
So let’s get into the preliminary list. And let me know your own favorites.
I’m sure I missed a ton of the good ones: (this list is in no particular order)

We're striving to build and maintain an open-source Python library, data load tool (dlt), to transform messy, unstructured data into quality datasets. If you're exploring data engineering and haven't yet found a straightforward, scalable solution for data loading, you might find dlt to be a perfect fit. Keep up the great work in spreading knowledge and fostering a community around these crucial topics! #DataEngineering #DataScience #dltHub
